CANAL ORIGINS BOATHOUSE

Best known as the Chicago boathouse this building is located at the south side of the Chicago River. Its structure was built to reflect the urban life and its connection with nature at the river are. Its facilities are currently used as recreational areas for the community. It was an honor Toro Construction to collaborate with Walsh Group on the construction of this new facility inaugurated on 2016. Our participation was as a prime contractor providing engineering for wall structures and LVL beams. This Chicago Boathouse was part of a 5 year project plan that consisted of the construction of four Chicago Boathouses along the Chicago River connecting nature into our daily urban routines.
